NASHVILLE, TENN. – Today rising country star Timmy McKeever releases his new heartbreak anthem “I Wish I Could” via Big Loud Records. The track solidifies the 19-year-old’s rising profile of raw, relatable storytelling and positions him as one of Nashville’s most promising new voices. He’ll soon take his catalog of infectious songs on the road when he joins Maddox Batson on his extensive Live! Worldwide Tour 2026.

“’I Wish I Could’ is a song about feeling helpless at the thought of knowing you’ll never be able to get back what you once had,” McKeever shares. “When the best thing about you walks out of your life, it leaves you with this empty feeling that I think this track encapsulates perfectly. I love this song, and I hope y’all do too.”

Co-written by McKeever, Josh Hoge and Jerry Jacobs, “I Wish I Could” ruminates on heartbreak and regret:

I wish I could take a break from all this heartbroke

I wish I could pick you up, put down the bottle

I wish I could fix the bad and get it gone for good

Wish I could love you again, damn it, I wish I could

The release follows McKeever’s recent collaboration with close friend Big Mo on “Hell Again,” a country-rap crossover that questions an on-and-off again relationship. Rounding out his growing catalog, McKeever previously released tracks “Back to the Bottle,” “Break My Heart Tonight” and “Hold You To It,” showcasing his signature raw emotion and relatable storytelling.

After touring last year with Gabby Barrett and Ryan Hurd, McKeever is gearing up for another busy year on the road. His run with Maddox Batson begins next month in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. before hitting Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles and more, as well as Canadian markets. The tour will conclude with a stop at The Pinnacle in Nashville. Stay up to date with Timmy McKeever here
