Chris Lane Headed to Country Music Stardom
FORT LORAMIE — Country Concert 2017 begins July 6 and takes place July 6, 7 and 8. The three-day concert always brings an abundance of country talent, and this year is no different.
Chris Lane, is a singer/songwriter, who was nominated this year for Best New Country Artist as well as ACM’s New Male Vocalist, will be performing on both the main stage and the saloon stage on July 8.
“I actually have been to this same festival before, but I only played on the little side stage over there in the shed or barn. I had a great time. This year I am playing the main stage earlier in the day and then I’m going to play that stage (Saloon) again at night, which I am very excited about. I had a great time the first time I played there and the crowd was rowdy and that’s what you want when you’re on stage,” said Lane.
Lane finds fulfillment when looking out into the crowd and seeing people singing his songs.
“Blown away. I can’t believe that. It’s a feeling that you don’t ever want to stop. But it’s also rewarding in a way that you try to write the best songs that you can write and to see people take to them and sing the lyrics is always such a cool moment,” said Lane.
Lane’s hit songs include, “Fix,” “For Her”and “Girl Problems,” and they all have been getting a lot of radio time.
“I guess I never realized, I never thought I could get a song on the radio, and then all these other cool things kind of followed along behind that,” said Lane.
