Nashville, Tenn. (
June 26, 2017) –
BIG LOUD RECORDS is proud to announce the addition of
JOHN D’AMICO as the label’s new Regional Promotions Director – Midwest starting
July 10. D’Amico will report directly to the label President, Clay Hunnicutt, and can be reached by email at
john@bigloudrecords.com or via phone at
412-862-6539.
Joining an inspired team with an already-proven record of success, D’Amico will make an immediate impact alongside promotions colleagues Nikki Jimenez, Northeast Region; Dave Kirth, West Coast Region; and Tyler Waugh, Southeast Region – which is lead by National Director of Promotion Stacy Blythe and Hunnicutt.
“John brings a unique skill set and passion that fits the Big Loud family and our artists perfectly,” Hunnicutt says. “His radio experience and passion for Country music are second to none. We are all really excited for John to get going and to continue the growth of Chris Lane, Morgan Wallen and Jillian Jacqueline.”
D’Amico shares, “When Stacy called me to talk about the opportunity I couldn’t believe it! Big Loud has such an exciting group of young artists, tight-knit staff and distinguished leadership. There is something special about this label; they call themselves a family and it truly feels that way. It is a dream come true to be a part of it.”
Before signing on with Big Loud Records, D’Amico spent 10 years working in the Northeast Region with the CBS Radio Pittsburgh cluster. Hardworking and independently driven, he began his career as an Intern and rose through the ranks of Board Operator, Producer and Assistant to the Web Master and Events Coordinator before taking the reins as Promotions Manager for WBZZ-FM (Hot AC) in 2011. In early 2015, D’Amico took over promotional duties at WDSY-FM as well.
A graduate of Pittsburgh’s Point Park University, D’Amico has gone on to create and lead promotions and events that have received five Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters awards, and finalist recognition for the National Association of Broadcasters Crystal Award for community service programs by a station. In addition, he has been named one of Pittsburgh’s “50 Finest” by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, an honor given to 50 young professionals in Western Pennsylvania each year.
Formed in 2015 by manager Seth England, acclaimed producer Joey Moi, award-winning songwriter Craig Wiseman, manager Kevin “Chief” Zaruk and radio veteran Hunnicutt, Big Loud Records is the label branch of Big Loud Mountain, an independent music company offering publishing, management, and record label services. The management side of Big Loud Mountain successfully launched the career of superstar duo Florida Georgia Line, who have gone on to sell over 29 million tracks worldwide, score 12 #1 hits to date and post Country music’s only DIAMOND-certified digital single for sales of over 10 million tracks with their breakout smash, “Cruise.”
Under Hunnicutt’s leadership Big Loud Records has established a roster of rising stars, including Chris Lane, who took the addictive groove of “Fix” – Big Loud’s first-ever single – to GOLD-certified #1 status in 2016. Meanwhile, Morgan Wallen’s “The Way I Talk” has cracked Country radio’s Top 30, and newcomer Jillian Jacqueline is already turning heads with razor-sharp tunes like “Reasons,” “Hate Me,” and “Bleachers.”
