NASHVILLE, TENN. – Today, rising duo Thelma & James release unconditional love song “Home In Your Broken Heart.” Wrapping their first stadium tour with Luke Combs last month and receiving their first Academy of Country Music Award nomination earlier this year, the “fresh new duo” (People) is “impossible not to root for” (Celeb Secrets).

“We wrote ‘Home In Your Broken Heart’ with Hillary Lindsey and Carey Barlow,” Thelma & James shares.

“This song means so much to us because it’s about being fully loved, fully known… with all your baggage and all your flaws. It’s really about our relationship.”

Written by MacKenzie Porter, Jake Etheridge, Hillary Lindsey and Carley Barlow, the pair wear their heart on their sleeves in “Home In Your Broken Heart”:

I can make a home in your broken heart

I can lay my head down on the jagged pieces

I can see them roses in the yard

I can tend the fire through all the cold seasons

You ain’t gotta leave the light on waiting all night long

‘Cause darling no I ain’t ever leaving

On their most recent “Alternate Ending,” MusicRow praised, “…they have a charming sound with his heartbroken tenor blending with her aching soprano harmony.” Additionally, Country Central called Thelma & James, “…country music’s most devastatingly tender of partnerships” following their first release of the year, “If You Ain’t In Love By Now.”

Thelma & James released their debut EP Starting Over last fall. The whirlwind year as a duo happened unexpectedly – not realizing the best writing partner was right under their noses the whole time, their first co-write in over a decade produced viral track “Happy Ever After You” that Billboard notes as a “pared-back ballad of love undimmed by the time and miles between.” The impromptu song made waves online with support from Kendall Jenner, John Mayer, Luke Combs and more. From there the duo began forging a musical path that led Atwood Magazine to detail them as having “heartbreak in their harmonies and fire in their veins.”

Next month, Thelma & James will play Canadian based Boots and Hearts Festival in Oro Station and Edmonton. For more information or tickets, please visit thelmaandjames.com.
