Nick Boyd is a songwriter from Rock Island, Illinois. Growing up in the heart of the Midwest, Boyd was destined to absorb music from all genres. From the perfect harmonies of his grandfather’s Eagles’ records, the pop sensibilities of Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake, to his father’s burnt Garth Brooks’ CDs. Influenced by the musicality of his family tree generations apart, Boyd’s maternal grandmother was a music teacher while his paternal grandfather played trumpet. In 2014, Nick moved to Nashville where he attended Belmont University. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Commercial Music with a Music Business emphasis. During his four years at Belmont, Nick discovered the magic of songwriting and co-writing, learning from his peers, classmates and teachers. Nick’s original music led him to win Belmont University’s Curb College Country Music Showcase and afforded him a spot in Belmont’s School of Music’s Commercial Showcase. Signing a publishing deal with Liz Rose Music in 2019, Nick continued to develop as a writer, citing influences including Jason Isbell, Craig Wiseman and Ryan Tedder. In 2026, Nick signed with ERN’s Cadillac Music / Big Loud Publishing and hit songwriter/producer Jordan Schmidt (Kane Brown, Lainey Wilson). Recent cuts include “Drinks Can Drink” and “TV On” by Cody Lohden, ATLUS’s “Spare Key,” “California Fit In Tennessee” by Tayler Holder and Brody Clementi’s “Act Like You Don’t.”
