FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE SET THE SMOOTH TOUR 2017 ON FIRE

Nashville, Tenn. (June 5, 2017) – Kicking off their genre-defying THE SMOOTH TOUR 2017 over the weekend with two red-hot concerts in Texas, boundary-pushing superstars FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE have just upped the ante for all future Country music tours.

The duo’s Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley rocked gigantic, high-energy crowds each night with stops Friday (6/2) in Austin and Saturday (6/3) in Dallas. Their patented mix of Country heart, Hip-Hop swagger and Rock ‘n’ Roll muscle was the perfect cap for a party vibe that also had fans singing along with special guests NELLY, CHRIS LANE and MORGAN WALLEN.

The launch was just the beginning of what’s sure to be one of the summer’s hottest concert events as FGL lit the fuse on a trek that continues through late October. With dates scheduled from Washington to Florida – and everywhere in between – they’ll headline their first-ever stadium concerts in Boston (7/7), Minneapolis (7/29) and Chicago (8/12). Those historic dates will feature Pop idols BACKSTREET BOYS, who are also featured on FGL’s latest PLATINUM-certified single, “God, Your Mama, And Me.”

Getting in the zone, FGL and BACKSTREET BOYS team up Tuesday (6/6) for a performance of “God, Your Mama, And Me” on THE ELLEN DEGENERES SHOW (check local listings). Full of romantic devotion and heart-swelling harmonies, the track is featured on FGL’s chart-topping album DIG YOUR ROOTS (BMLG Records). The Top 5-and-rising single has been streamed over 29 million times on Spotify alone.

On Wednesday (6/7), FGL will perform their special “Last Day Alive” collaboration with electro-Pop hitmakers The Chainsmokers during the 2017 CMT Music Awards. The show airs live from Nashville at 8 p.m. ET where FGL will vie for three honors – Video of the Year, Duo Video of the Year and Collaborative Video of the Year. Voting is now open on CMT.com.

The duo rounds out the week with the grand opening of their first restaurant and entertainment destination, FGL HOUSE, today (6/5) and a headline slot Saturday (6/10) for the third night of star-studded shows at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium. As part of the massive CMA Music Festival, their performance will be taped for inclusion in ABC’s TV special, airing later this summer.
