COUNTRY SPITFIRE ASHLAND CRAFT SPARKS DEAL WITH BIG LOUD RECORDS

BRAND-NEW SONG “TRAINWRECK

AVAILABLE TODAY (4/24)

NASHVILLE, TENN. (April 24, 2020) — BIG LOUD RECORDS continues its big, loud, discovery of powerhouse talent, signing ASHLAND CRAFT to their unrivaled roster. Upping the ante, her brand-new song “Trainwreck” is available now at all streaming platforms and digital retailers.

Offering a gutsy, woman’s take on lyrical territory typically only tread by male artists, Craft warns a potential bar-crossed-lover with gritty vocals: “Baby I’m a trainwreck, a trainwreck / I’m coming off the line / It’s a sure bet, you’ll get your heart broke every time.” The tell-it-like-it-is ballad was penned by Randy Montana and Channing Wilson, and Craft first heard it when opening for Wilson in 2018. Resonating with the material and knowing that she had to cut it, she took a chance and sent a work tape of herself singing it to Wilson. Last April, he gave Craft his blessing on her birthday, and she in turn asked him to sing background vocals on her version produced by Jonathan Singleton.

“To be able to debut ‘Trainwreck,’ written by two songwriters that I admire – Randy Montana and Channing Wilson – and a song that I’ve wanted to release for a few years now, on the same day that I get to announce my record deal, is honestly surreal,” shares Craft. “Signing a record deal is always something that I dreamed about and I honestly can’t believe the day is finally here. This is the biggest milestone I’ve hit so far in my life, hands down. Everyone that I’m surrounded by – Big Loud Records, Make Wake Artists, and 50 Egg Music – they honestly are my dream team. It just makes me want to work even harder to honor all of the opportunity that I’ve been given.”

Seth England, Partner/CEO of Big Loud, echoes Craft’s excitement, adding, “We couldn’t be more thankful Ashland Craft chose to make Big Loud her label home. She is a career artist with a huge voice, and has built an amazing team already. The future is very, very bright for Ashland.

Emerging as one of the most exciting new voices in the genre, Craft is set to introduce her own brand of edgy Country music with a fresh batch of tunes this year, after a Top 10 stint on NBC’s The Voice and opening tour slots for major artists like Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, and more. Since relocating to Nashville last year, she has won fans with her no B.S. stamp on independent releases like Country girl anthem “Good Ol’ Girls,” the cleverly-constructed ode to loneliness “Your Place or Mine,” and clear-eyed ballad “They Always Do.” A true, lifelong music lover, Craft discovered her honky-tonk spirit and cut her teeth singing Country and Rock covers at a hometown bar in South Carolina, and counts Def Leppard, Gretchen Wilson, Chris Stapleton, Bonnie Raitt, and John Mayer, among her eclectic musical influences. She is signed to Make Wake Artists for management and 50 Egg Music for publishing.
