On the fizzed-up track, you’ll hear Jillian belt out the lyrics “I’m so sick of living a lie/So screw all of our reasons why.” Through the song, she talks about how a couple tries to justify staying together for a boatload of reasons, from how they’re supposed to be married by age 30 to how it’s just too plain scary to say goodbye. But it’s about making the brave choice, not the easy one.

The high-energy songstress has been singing her heart out since she was just seven years old. At age nine, she performed alongside Kenny Rogers in a Broadway show, and in her teens, she was performing at punk clubs in NYC. She eventually followed her heart to Nashville, where she released a five-song EP and later took on her own independent project.

She’s now rich with songs about love and heartbreak—and they aren’t just any old tunes. Jillian said so long to a five-year long-term relationship and, well, hello to a ton of new song material. She’s put her heartbreak to good use and has crafted a collection that’s spirited and relatable.
