“AS ONE OF THE MOST TALENTED BANDS IN THE ENTIRE GENRE, GODWIN AND THE ALLEGHENY HIGH ARE SET TO DELIVER ONE OF THE BEST LIVE ALBUMS IN RECENT MEMORY HERE.” – WHISKEY RIFF

NASHVILLE, TENN. – Today West Virginia native Charles Wesley Godwin releases his rollicking new album Live From The Steel City. A 23-song collection, the highly anticipated project has been praised by Country Central, Whiskey Riff and more, with Saving Country Music claiming – “anybody who’s ever had their face melted by Charles Wesley Godwin and his full-tilt band The Allegheny High don’t need to be convinced why releasing a live album is a good idea.”

“There’s just something about the energy of a live crowd that you can’t replicate in a studio, and I think that shines through on this album in a big way,” Godwin shared. “Stage AE was a special place to be on September 13, 2024, and now everyone can experience it with us. Let’s go!”

To preview the album, Godwin released a three-song sampler earlier this month featuring “Cue Country Roads,” “Family Ties” and “Hardwood Floors” – each reflecting the unforgettable moments in his live show. Highlighting Godwin’s “rough-hewn textured voice” (Billboard), the live album was recorded at last year’s sold-out show at Stage AE outdoors in Pittsburgh, Pa. The album features songs from his most recent studio album Family Ties (2023), like “All Again,” “Another Leaf” and “Miner Imperfections,” as well as tracks from 2021’s How The Mighty Fall (“Jesse,” “Temporary Town,” “Strong”) and breakout favorites from Seneca (2019) including “Hardwood Floors,” “Seneca Creek” and more. The album is complete with covers of Tyler Childers’ “Whitehouse Road,” “Ramblin’ Fever” by Merle Haggard and John Denver’s iconic “Take Me Home, Country Roads.”

Godwin’s touring schedule throughout the year includes a headlining run with a stop at Red Rocks Amphitheatre next month, alongside dates supporting Eric Church. For more information and full tour routing visit charleswgodwin.com
