Big Loud Records’ Morgan Wallen Trades Baseball Ambitions For Country Music Dreams – MusicRow

Nashville (9/27) – MusicRow recently sat down with up and coming country artist Morgan Wallen to talk about the baseball injury that ultimately changed his life.

“The East Tennessee native had dreams of playing professional baseball. ‘I played through my senior year. I got a couple of college offers and right before my senior year started, I blew my arm out,’ says Wallen. ‘Those college offers kind of disappeared on me really fast. I went through a time where I didn’t know what I would do with my life, because that’s what I had worked so hard for, for such a long time.'”

After being introduced to key industry player Kevin Neal, who then introduced him to Big Loud Records’ label president Clay HunnicuttWallen began down a new path towards a fresh, but bright future.

Here, he talks about his latest single “The Way I Talk” from his debut EP, The Way I Talk.
