ASHLEY COOKE’S FAN-FAVORITE SMASH “BABY BLUES” HITS COUNTRY RADIO AMONG THE MOST ADDED SINGLES NATIONWIDE THIS WEEK

NASHVILLE, TENN. – Keeping her hot streak rolling, Country hitmaker Ashley Cooke is bringing her hit song “baby blues” to Country radio. The longtime fan-favorite officially impacted the airwaves yesterday (6/22) among the most added singles on Mediabase with 70 first-week stations on board nationwide, adding to the massive anticipation for Cooke’s self-titled sophomore album (due out via Big Loud Records/Back Blocks Music on August 14). Go here to pre-order/pre-save ashley cooke now.

Written by Cooke, Johnny Clawson, Joe Fox, Kyle Sturrock, and Seth Ennis, “baby blues” celebrates the kind of all-consuming chemistry that never fades. With its simmering guitar lines and low-slung grooves, the soulful Country stunner centers on a sweetly seductive vocal performance from Cooke, who strikes a perfect balance of smoldering intensity and tender affection. Arriving on the heels of her recent Country radio hit “the hell you are” (another standout from ashley cooke), “baby blues” shot to No. 1 on SiriusXM The Highway’s Hot 30 Countdown while also climbing Billboard‘s Hot Country Songs and the UK Country Airplay chart, and has racked up over 50 MILLION global streams to date (adding to her 700 MILLION+ total career streams).

As “baby blues” earns its place among her signature songs, Cooke has added a much-talked-about new ritual to her live set: an already-iconic moment in which she searches the crowd for a baby-blue-eyed audience member, then directly serenades that fan for the final verse. As part of her action-packed CMA Fest week, she selected influencer Hunter Massey as her blue-eyed muse for her performance at the Chevy Riverfront Stage (watch here), then brought out comedian/actor Matt Rife during her Billboard Country Live set at Category 10 (check it out here). With the “baby blues” tradition drawing widespread buzz, Holler praised Cooke for “creating lifelong memories for someone special each night.”

In another CMA Fest week highlight, singer/songwriter/guitarist Patrick Droney joined Cooke for a show-stopping surprise performance of “baby blues” during her set at The Westin Nashville’s L27 Rooftop Lounge on June 2 — a packed-out event that kicked off the 2026 edition of 27LIVE, the sought-after weekly concert series powered by Country Now.

A defining track for Cooke’s boldest era yet, “baby blues” also serves as the namesake for the baby blues world tour— a global headline run kicking off on September 17 at Globe Iron in Cleveland, with dates currently scheduled through February 25 at the legendary Ryman Auditorium. With stops in major cities throughout the US and UK, the 28-date trek will bring her acclaimed live show to storied venues like 9:30 Club in Washington, DC (September 18), Irving Plaza in New York City (September 24), El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles (October 8) and Koko in London (January 29). Before launching the baby blues world tour, Cooke will hit the stage at high-profile summer festivals like Hoofbeat (June 27 in Cadott, WI). ABOUT ASHLEY COOKE

One of Country’s most magnetic young storytellers, Ashley Cooke made her unforgettable debut with 2023’s shot in the dark and soon scored her first Country radio No. 1 with “your place” — a GOLD-certified, Billboard Hot 100-charting hit that later won a 2024 CMT Music Award for Breakthrough Female Video of the Year. With a voice that carries both tenderness and quiet confidence, she’s since garnered nominations for New Female Artist of the Year at the ACM Awards and Best New Country Artist at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. While building up an acclaimed body of work including 2025’s ace — a nine-song project featuring her Country radio smash “the hell you are” and longtime fan favorite “baby blues” (a No. 1 hit on SiriusXM The Highway’s Hot 30 Countdown) — Cooke has collaborated with major artists ranging from Pop superstar Joe Jonas (“All I Forgot”) to Country hitmaker Brantley Gilbert (“Over When We’re Sober”). Known for her emotionally charged and high-energy live show, she’s also toured with heavy-hitters like Luke Bryan, Parker McCollum, Kane Brown, and recently hit the road as support for Jon Pardi’s HONKYTONK HOLLYWOOD TOUR. As her profile continues to rise, Cooke made a cameo appearance in March on CBS’ Marshals (the newly launched spinoff of the blockbuster Western saga Yellowstone), just before heading overseas for C2C: Country to Country 2026 (including a performance at the iconic O2 Arena in London). With her self-titled sophomore album due out August 14, she’s now gearing up to take the stage at leading festivals like Hoofbeat (6/27 in Cadott, WI).
