Florida Georgia Line Would Love to Win Entertainer of the Year One Day

It’s no secret Florida Georgia Line have had an explosive career so far, but is it enough to win them Entertainer of the Year at the ACMs or CMAs one day? The guys hope so, saying it’s a career goal for them.

“Something one day I think we’re chasing, and it’s just one of those things on our bucket list, would be Entertainer of the Year, no doubt,” FGL’s Brian Kelley says via Big Machine.

He adds that they are passionate about the live performance aspect of their career and have been focusing on honing it in an effort to work toward that goal.

“It’s something that we’ve been workin’ on, our live show. It means a lot to us. We connect with our fans that way. I think we thrive, we’re truly alive in those moments and so I say we have our eyes set on that a little bit,” he continues.

The guys are quick to say making music is not about accolades, but they appreciate it when it comes.

“It’s not all about the awards, it’s not, but it is cool, it means something … knows you’re doin’ something right,” says Kelley.

The band was recently honored at the CMA Triple Play Awards, which recognizes songwriters who write three No. 1 hits within the span of 12 months. The guys won the award for having helped write Cole Swindell’s “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight” and Jason Aldean’s “Burnin’ It Down,” as well as their song, “Sun Daze.”

“It’s a true honor as an artist to be a Triple Play winner, to be recognized as a songwriter and to do what I moved to Nashville to do,” Tyler Hubbard says of the achievement. “My dreams keep coming true every day.”

Florida Georgia Line are kicking off their Dig Your Roots tour this month with Swindell, the Cadillac Three and Kane Brown.
