NASHVILLE, TENN. / AUSTIN, TEXAS – Today buzzed-about imprint Big Loud Texas Publishing and Sony Music Publishing announce the signing of Big Loud Texas artist Julianna Rankin. Alongside the announce, Rankin releases her second song via Big Loud Texas “Little Miss Behavin’” produced by Big Loud Texas co-founders, Miranda Lambert and Jon Randall. “We’re thrilled to welcome Julianna to the Big Loud Texas Publishing family,” shares Lizzy Rector, Publishing Director, Big Loud Publishing. “She has a voice and storytelling perspective that is rooted and real and we couldn’t be more excited to be a part of what’s ahead.”
“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Julianna Rankin into the Sony Music Publishing family alongside Big Loud Texas,” says Anna Weisband, SVP, Creative A&R, Sony Music Publishing Nashville. “She’s the definition of heart and soul. Her songwriting is full of true storytelling, personality, and grit. We can’t wait to help share that with the world!”
Rankin wrote the new song “Little Miss Behavin’” alongside Jon Decious and Josh Kear. In this post-breakup anthem, Rankin is ready to make a few mistakes:
Little miss been misbehaving
Cool with the hell fire I’m raising
Tore up like a tor-damn-nado
Buy another round, watch that girl go
Little miss singing Redneck Woman
Little miss been tying one on and
Don’t give a damn what the grapevine’s saying
Kiss my little miss, miss behavin’
The new song follows her label debut “Bad Habits and Good Horses,” which was featured in the season finale of Landman via Paramount+. Written alongside Garrett Bradford and Jon Decious during a sync camp in Austin, Rankin is charting her own path with more new music on the horizon.
Rankin will support Paul Cauthen at Freedom Salon in Folsom, CA with back-to-back shows today and tomorrow. Beginning in April, Rankin will support labelmate and Big Loud Texas traditionalist Jake Worthington on his Intent To Tonk Tour with stops in Chicago, Nashville, Boston and New York.
