NASHVILLE, TENN. – This week triple threat talent ERNEST proves why The New York Times calls him a “writer of hit songs” and The Tennessean claims he’s “Nashville’s current songwriting kingpin.” Today he releases seven song project Live From The South – a cohesive piece built on Southern imagery and lyrical craftsmanship. This follows his recognition at Tuesday night’s BMI Awards as a creative force behind BMI Song of the Year, Post Malone’s all genre No. 1 smash “I Had Some Help” feat. Morgan Wallen. He also packed Ryman Auditorium earlier this month for two consecutive headliners with star-studded guests.

“I’m excited to get these seven songs out,” shares the hitmaker. “They are just the first seven songs on a bigger body of work. These songs felt like something that needed to get out into the world before the year is over with. Something to get us through the winter. A lot of summertime music around the corner. We’re live from the South.”

Guitar-picking, fiddle and pedal steel sonically define Live From The South, produced by ERNEST and Jacob Durrett. The new collection reflects ERNEST’s growth as an artist and comfortability in his own shoes – reveling in gratitude: family ties, simple faith, making a life for yourself. Collaborating with his inner circle, Live From The South features co-writes with Rhett Akins, Mark Holman, ERN’s Cadillac Music signees Chandler Walters, Cody Lohden, Rhys Rutherford and more.

The 4x ACM Award nominee, 3x CMA Triple Play Award winner and 3x Variety Hitmaker primed today’s project with the release of “Blessed.” The full project includes songs like “Hate A Small Town” that explores small town stereotypes like Friday night lights, embracing his southern roots: find a pull-off spot where you can park / fall in love and break a heart / there’s always gonna be something to talk about / it’s hard to hate a small town.

Live From The South follows ERNEST’s lauded NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE – one of 2024’s best albums of the year according to the Los Angeles Times. Kicking off in January in Denver, Colo., recently announced Live From The South Tour will hit Boston, New York and Houston – with new dates in Jackson Hole, Wy., Charlotte and Asheville, N.C., Knoxville and Chattanooga, Tenn. and more.

Top-selling singer-songwriter and Nashville’s unpredictable hitmaker ERNEST is “The Charmer” (MusicRow), a triple-threat talent who “creates a sound all his own” (Pollstar) and one of Music City’s defining artist-writers. The 4x ACM Award nominee (2024/2025) including a first-time nomination for artist-songwriter of the year, 3x CMA Triple Play Award winner, and 3x Variety Hitmaker fuses influences ranging from Eminem to George Jones, crafting a twist-heavy verse style that’s earned himself thirteen No. 1 hits as a songwriter. His full-length sophomore album, NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE, “clearly honors the spirit of Music City while simultaneously proving ERNEST as one of the most dynamic singer/songwriters in country music” (The Tennessean), features 26 songs and collaborations with Lainey Wilson, Lukas Nelson, Jelly Roll, HARDY and more. Follow up project Live From The South is out now. ERNEST co-penned the Hot 100 record-breaking single, “I Had Some Help” by Post Malone ft. Morgan Wallen earning him a GRAMMY® nomination. ERNEST recently launched DeVille Records, a label and joint venture with Big Loud Records. DeVille Records was founded on the old-school values of artist development and creative swagger and welcomes GRAMMY®-nominated Chandler Walters, Rhys Rutherford and Cody Lohden as its first artists. DeVille Records recently released its inaugural project, Cadillac Sessions, a mixtape-style album featuring music from ERNEST and DeVille signees. His Live From The South Tour is set to kick off in 2026. “From hitmaker to historian…Ernest is reviving the sound of classic country music” (Los Angeles Times).
