TEXAS / OKLAHOMA BORDER, U.S.A. – 25-year-old Austin-born singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Dylan Gossett is bringing Texas folk-country to an Oklahoma classic today, joining the star-studded soundtrack for new Warner Bros. Pictures film “Twisters,” out now via Atlantic Records.

“Stronger Than A Storm” – written by Gossett and his brother, Blake Gossett, and produced by Eddie Spear – swirls, built around Gossett’s “grainy, weathered voice” (Billboard) and whirling to a fever pitch across its four-minute sprint.

Gossett joins the colossal 29-track Twisters: The Album soundtrack alongside his Big Loud Texas label boss Miranda Lambert, Luke Combs, Jelly Roll, Charley Crockett, Tyler Childers, and many more. “I loved the original ‘Twister’ movie growing up and am honored to be a small part of this project,” Dylan says.

Profiled by Rolling Stone for “becoming one of country music’s most in-demand live draws,” Gossett is preparing for a globe-trotting trek of headline dates spanning 17 states and four countries this fall when The Back 40 Tour kicks off Sept. 6 in College Station, Texas. The run follows high-profile U.S. festival plays and a sold-out European headline run earlier this summer.

ABOUT DYLAN GOSSETT

Dylan Gossett is a 25-year-old singer-songwriter from Austin, Texas. Dylan began writing and recording music during his early teen years using Garage Band on his mother’s computer. Throughout high school, college at Texas A&M, and a job at Formula 1 Racing, music remained Dylan’s true passion. Inspired to finally release music by a new generation of singer-songwriters he saw emerging online, Dylan began posting videos of his songs in April 2023 — immediately, his music struck a chord with a global audience.

Dylan released his first single “To Be Free” (entirely self-written, recorded, produced, and mixed in his bedroom) on June 30, 2023. Shortly thereafter, he teased a snippet of what would become his next song and breakout viral hit “Coal.” The video instantly took off, gaining over one million views within the first week. He quickly got back into his bedroom and created the song from scratch before releasing it on July 27, 2023. Since its release, “Coal” has garnered over 275 million global streams, received Platinum Certifications in Canada and Australia and a Gold Certification in the US, debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US and the Official Singles Chart Top 100 in the U.K., reached the Top 5 on the Country Radio Chart in Australia, and continues to climb the Spotify US Top 200. The New York Times called “Coal” “one of the year’s best country songs,” and Billboard declared, “’Coal’ and ‘To Be Free’ position Gossett as a formidable, heart-on-his-sleeve singer-songwriter with immense potential.”

In October 2023, Dylan released his highly anticipated debut EP No Better Time (also self-written, recorded, produced, and mixed in his bedroom) via Big Loud Texas / Mercury Records. The EP received a slew of critical acclaim from The New York TimesBillboardGrammy.comAtwood MagazineMusicRowHoller CountryCountry Central, and more. He followed up No Better Time with his sophomore EP Songs in the Gravel this past March, which he wrote all four songs for and self-produced two. On this project, he also teamed up with notable producers Eddie Spear and Ian Fitchuk on two of the tracks. Rolling Stone praised the EP and Gossett, saying, “Even in country’s current era of overnight success and viral sensations, Dylan Gossett stands out.”

On the touring front, he embarked on his first-ever headline tour this past spring, which saw him perform in cities across North America, London, and Dublin and sold-out immediately upon on-sale. Soon after, he announced his summer and fall 2024 headline run in the U.K., Europe, and North America, which includes sold-out shows at Dublin’s Vicar St., London’s O2 Kentish Town Forum, New York’s Irving Plaza, Los Angeles’ The Fonda Theatre, Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, and more. Not to mention, earlier this year, he supported Noah Kahan in arenas across Australia and Morgan Wallen at Houston’s Minute Maid Park, as well as opened for Wyatt Flores and Brent Cobb on their fall 2023 tours. He also has been performing at a slew of festivals this spring and summer, including SXSW, Hangout Music Festival, CMA Fest, Tortuga Music Festival, Two Step Inn Festival, and more.
