NASHVILLE, TENN. – Big Loud’s ERNEST is set to release his highly-anticipated sophomore album, NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE, this Friday, April 12 on the heels of his 2024 ACM Award nominations for New Male Artist of the Year and Artist-Songwriter of the Year. The Variety Hitmaker worked with longtime producer Joey Moi for the 26-track project, which brings to life the musical vision of one the modern era’s most impactful country hitmakers and pays homage in name, and sonically, to ERNEST’s hometown city. This week ERNEST joins CBS Mornings from Nashville for an in-depth profile with Jan Crawford on his new album, airing Friday (4/12), before making his national TV performance debut on Live With Kelly and Mark (4/16). ERNEST will also join for additional performances on The Kelly Clarkson Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live! this month before heading to perform at California’s biggest country festival, Stagecoach.

To celebrate the album, ERNEST will also launch an all-day fan album release event (4/12) featuring exclusive, limited-edition merchandise, prizes from local vendors and brands, personal memorabilia from his career, and a one-day-only album release pop up show from the 2X CMA Triple Play Award winning artist at 6th & Peabody home of Ole Smoky Moonshine and Yee-Haw Brewing Co.

After announcing the album through a viral Nashville mayoral campaign video, ERNEST went on to release five additional tracks from the project, including “I Went To College / I Went To Jail,” featuring fellow Nashville-native Jelly Roll, as well as tracks “Ain’t As Easy,” “How’d We Get Here,” “Ain’t Too Late,” and “Why Dallas (feat. Lukas Nelson).” The songs joined already available tracks “Kiss Of Death” and “Slow Dancing In a Burning Room” which were released late last year timed to his headlining run and back-to-back sold out nights at Nashville’s famed Ryman Auditorium.

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE is the follow up to ERNEST’s 2021 debut album, FLOWER SHOPS (THE ALBUM), which featured the 2X Platinum title-track “Flower Shops (feat. Morgan Wallen)” and gave fans a glimpse of ERNEST’s edgy artistic styling. Known for penning some of country music’s biggest recent hits, ERNEST has to date earned nine No. 1s, including: Jelly Roll’s 2X Platinum “Son of a Sinner,” Kane Brown’s Platinum “One Mississippi,” Sam Hunt’s Platinum “Breaking Up Was Easy In The 90’s,” Chris Lane’s 2X Platinum “Big, Big Plans,” and Morgan Wallen hits including 7X Platinum “Wasted On You,” 4X Platinum “You Proof,” 5X Platinum “More Than My Hometown,” and Platinum “Everything I Love.” With over a billion global on-demand streams, the Pollstar cover star proves to be more than just a game changing behind-the-scenes force who helped define a generation, but also a maverick that “creates a sound all his own” (Pollstar).

ABOUT ERNEST

Nashville’s most unpredictable hitmaker ERNEST is “The Charmer” (MusicRow), a triple threat talent and one of Music City’s on the rise artist/writers who is changing the status quo. The two-time ACM Award nominee (2024), CMA Triple Play Award winner, and 2022/3 Variety Hitmaker fuses influences ranging from Eminem to George Jones, crafting a twist-heavy verse style that’s become his signature, proving its mettle, and earning him nine No. 1 hits to date. The eccentric free spirit announced his highly anticipated sophomore album, NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE will drop April 12th, following up ERNEST’S critically acclaimed debut album FLOWER SHOPS (THE ALBUM) and FLOWER SHOPS (THE ALBUM): Two Dozen Roses, the rebranded edition doubling its track list with 13 fresh cuts. Praised as one of Holler and The Tennessean‘s best albums of the year, FLOWER SHOPS showcased the more classically country side of his craft, and that “ERNEST creates a sound all his own” (Pollstar).
