#1 party for Florida-Georgia Line’s “STAY”

Nashville, Tenn., February 13, 2014: Music Row gathered at the ASCAP offices on Wednesday, February 12th to celebrate the team behind the four-week #1 hit single “Stay,” recorded by Florida Georgia Line, who are currently nominated for four ACM Awards. The song, originally recorded by rock band Black Stone Cherry, was written by Joey Moi along with Black Stone Cherry band members Chris Robertson, Ben Wells, Jon Lawhon and John Fred Young. Produced by Joey Moi, “Stay” became Florida Georgia Line’s fourth consecutive, multi-week #1 single from their Platinum-certified Republic Nashville debut album, Here’s To The Good Times. The song marked Moi’s sixth trip to the top of the charts as a songwriter and became the first country #1 for the members of Black Stone Cherry.
