ABOUT CODY LOHDEN

A vocal powerhouse with both the pipes and penmanship of an authentic country hero, Cody Lohden is a singer-songwriter signed to ERN’s Cadillac Music / DeVille Records, primed for a creative breakout. The former firefighter / paramedic spent the last few years on a unique story of self-styled success and now answers the call of a new artistic chapter. Raised in Garfield, Kentucky, Lohden got his first guitar at 12 and quickly put it to use, drawn to the simplicity of country craftsmen like Keith Whitley and Don Williams, and the greasy grit of rockers like Bob Seger. NASHVILLE, TENN. / AUSTIN, TEXAS – Multi-Platinum and chart-topping group, Randy Rogers Band, have released their reimagined version of fan-favorite track, “Tommy Jackson” featuring Parker McCollum, out now. The song is the first release off their upcoming collaboration album, Songbook (via Big Loud Texas), slated for release on January 22, 2027.

Written by Rogers and originally recorded for the band’s first studio album Like It Used to Be in 2002, “Tommy Jackson” is a fan-favorite track that tells the tragic story of a young man on the run following a fatal whiskey-fueled incident with a woman named Pam. The song remains one of the most requested songs during the band’s live shows.

“When Parker selected ‘Tommy Jackson,’ I wasn’t surprised one bit,” shares Randy Rogers. “He’s told me several times over the years how much he dug this song. Story songs are hard to write, and I wrote this one after a chance meeting with Bill Whitbeck, Robert Earl Keen’s bass player, at Fritz’s Muffler Shop in San Marcos, Texas, when I was a student at Texas State University. I had seen REK at Luckenbach the night before, and I walked away completely inspired to make music my life. All these years later, having Parker cut this song feels like a full-circle moment—not just for me, but for all of us in this genre.”

“This is the kind of song that made me want to write songs like ‘My Blue.’ I always have loved story songs and there probably isn’t a song in Randy Rogers Band’s catalog that I don’t know word for word,” McCollum says. “To get to meet a hero, who I consider family now, I could never overstate the influence this band has had on me as a songwriter. The first release off the upcoming album features 2026 CMA ‘Album of the Year’ nominee, Parker McCollum, as he joins the band for a revitalized rendition of the epic tale of “Tommy Jackson” – out on October 9th. Written by Rogers and originally recorded for the band’s first studio album Like It Used to Be in 2002, this fan-favorite track tells the tragic story of a young man on the run following a fatal whiskey-fueled incident with a woman named Pam. The song remains one of the most requested songs during the band’s live shows.

“When Parker selected ‘Tommy Jackson,’ I wasn’t surprised one bit. He’s told me several times over the years how much he dug this song. Story songs are hard to write, and I wrote this one after a chance meeting with Bill Whitbeck, Robert Earl Keen’s bass player, at Fritz’s Muffler Shop in San Marcos, Texas, when I was a student at Texas State University. I had seen REK at Luckenbach the night before, and I walked away completely inspired to make music my life. All these years later, having Parker cut this song feels like a full-circle moment—not just for me, but for all of us in this genre.” explains Rogers.

NASHVILLE, TENN. – Today, country rock superstar HARDY signs triplet brother trio TRIPPP to his newly formed label, mockingbird RECORDS (the country sister label to his previously announced rock imprint, CROW RECORDS). In partnership with Big Loud Records, this announcement follows last year’s inaugural signing of rocker Sikarus to CROW RECORDS (under Big Loud Rock). On Friday, October 2, TRIPPP opened for HARDY’s ‘One Night In Starksville’ show at the Humphrey Coliseum in Mississippi before being brought back up on stage and introduced as the first official mockingbird RECORDS signing.

“We have been chasing this dream for almost a decade,” shares TRIPPP. “The chance to work alongside and be mentored by our hero and one of the greatest songwriters and artists to ever step foot on 16th Avenue is the opportunity of a lifetime and one we would never pass up. Born and raised in Jonesboro, Arkansas, the Nashville-based triplet brother trio TRIPPP consists of bandmembers JD Stafford (lead vocals), Chaz Stafford (guitar), and Treyson Stafford (bass). Moving to Nashville to attend Belmont University, they are now full-time professional songwriters with a unique country sound. Their music is a mix between Memphis blues, Kentucky bluegrass, and Southern rock combined with killer family harmony. Released earlier this year, their EP nothin’ and album TRIPPPare out now.

NASHVILLE, TENN. – Today, rising Nashville-based country artist Hailey Benedict releases her witty new song “Chem History,” available now via Big Loud Records/Local Hay Records. 

“Chem History” began as a clever hook title written down on Benedict’s phone. Written alongside Clara Park and Claire Douglas – the same collaborators behind her CCMA Award-winning song “Carl Dean” – “Chem History” took shape over a few sessions before coming to life in the studio, co-produced by Benedict and Grammy Award-winning Josh Kerr (Russell Dickerson, Keith Urban). The result: a tongue-in-cheek track that taps into an unbreakable chemistry and a familiar, undeniable pull.

“Whether it’s a sixth sense or just the science of human habit, we’ve all had experiences where you get that feeling of knowing when someone is about to come back into your life,” Benedict says. “Navigating that intuition when someone weaves in and out of your world means deciding if their return is meant to be or if it’s better left in the past.”

The single’s thematic playfulness translates seamlessly into its official lyric video (watch here), where Benedict fully embraces the scientific concept by donning a white coat and mixing up trouble in a high-energy lab setup.

Last month, Benedict took home her second CCMA Award, winning in the Innovative Campaign of the Year category for “Carl Dean” – a track deeply special to her as a heartfelt tribute inspired by Dolly Parton’s 60-year marriage to her husband. Benedict carried that momentum onto the national broadcast, presenting an award and being part of the Dolly Parton tribute performance. 

The new songs build on a standout year for the Alberta-born artist. “Drove Her Away” follows previously released “Shouldn’t Be” that “falls somewhere between radio country and rock, with production that feels right at home in the current era of country music” (Raised Rowdy).
