NASHVILLE, TENN. / AUSTIN, TEXAS – Multi-Platinum and chart-topping group, Randy Rogers Band, have released their reimagined version of fan-favorite track, “Tommy Jackson” featuring Parker McCollum, out now. The song is the first release off their upcoming collaboration album, Songbook (via Big Loud Texas), slated for release on January 22, 2027.

Written by Rogers and originally recorded for the band’s first studio album Like It Used to Be in 2002, “Tommy Jackson” is a fan-favorite track that tells the tragic story of a young man on the run following a fatal whiskey-fueled incident with a woman named Pam. The song remains one of the most requested songs during the band’s live shows.

“When Parker selected ‘Tommy Jackson,’ I wasn’t surprised one bit,” shares Randy Rogers. “He’s told me several times over the years how much he dug this song. Story songs are hard to write, and I wrote this one after a chance meeting with Bill Whitbeck, Robert Earl Keen’s bass player, at Fritz’s Muffler Shop in San Marcos, Texas, when I was a student at Texas State University. I had seen REK at Luckenbach the night before, and I walked away completely inspired to make music my life. All these years later, having Parker cut this song feels like a full-circle moment—not just for me, but for all of us in this genre.”

“This is the kind of song that made me want to write songs like ‘My Blue.’ I always have loved story songs and there probably isn’t a song in Randy Rogers Band’s catalog that I don’t know word for word,” McCollum says. “To get to meet a hero, who I consider family now, I could never overstate the influence this band has had on me as a songwriter. I chase that feeling I had hearing their music for the first time every time I write a song. Texas Country isn’t Texas Country without Randy Rogers Band.”

NASHVILLE, TENN. – Today, country rock superstar HARDY signs triplet brother trio TRIPPP to his newly formed label, mockingbird RECORDS (the country sister label to his previously announced rock imprint, CROW RECORDS). In partnership with Big Loud Records, this announcement follows last year’s inaugural signing of rocker Sikarus to CROW RECORDS (under Big Loud Rock). On Friday, October 2, TRIPPP opened for HARDY’s ‘One Night In Starksville’ show at the Humphrey Coliseum in Mississippi before being brought back up on stage and introduced as the first official mockingbird RECORDS signing.

“We have been chasing this dream for almost a decade,” shares TRIPPP. “The chance to work alongside and be mentored by our hero and one of the greatest songwriters and artists to ever step foot on 16th Avenue is the opportunity of a lifetime and one we would never pass up. We are immensely grateful to everyone who has believed in us and supported us even when we were singing for beers in bars back home in Jonesboro, Arkansas. We would not be here without y’all. Born and raised in Jonesboro, Arkansas, the Nashville-based triplet brother trio TRIPPP consists of bandmembers JD Stafford (lead vocals), Chaz Stafford (guitar), and Treyson Stafford (bass). Moving to Nashville to attend Belmont University, they are now full-time professional songwriters with a unique country sound. Their music is a mix between Memphis blues, Kentucky bluegrass, and Southern rock combined with killer family harmony. Released earlier this year, their EP nothin’ and album TRIPPPare out now. 

The band has played well over 300 shows and has opened for artists Riley Green, Gavin Adcock and more. Written alongside Clara Park and Claire Douglas – the same collaborators behind her CCMA Award-winning song “Carl Dean” – “Chem History” took shape over a few sessions before coming to life in the studio, co-produced by Benedict and Grammy Award-winning Josh Kerr (Russell Dickerson, Keith Urban). The result: a tongue-in-cheek track that taps into an unbreakable chemistry and a familiar, undeniable pull.

“Whether it’s a sixth sense or just the science of human habit, we’ve all had experiences where you get that feeling of knowing when someone is about to come back into your life,” Benedict says. “Navigating that intuition when someone weaves in and out of your world means deciding if their return is meant to be or if it’s better left in the past.”

The single’s thematic playfulness translates seamlessly into its official lyric video (watch here), where Benedict fully embraces the scientific concept by donning a white coat and mixing up trouble in a high-energy lab setup. 

“When writing a song, I always feel like it’s going to resonate if I can immediately picture the visuals in my head,” Benedict shared. “Given the theme of ‘Chem History,’ I wanted to commit to the bit and embrace the playful, flirtatious energy of the track. We brought that to life in the lab, showing that no matter how much you try to control the outcome in love, things don’t always go according to plan, just like every good science experiment!”

“Chem History” follows August’s release of the shimmery single “Party Without You,” which continues to rise at Canadian Country Radio, sitting inside the Top 40 and climbing week over week. “Party Without You” kicked off a steady run of new music slated for release over the coming months. 

Last month, Benedict took home her second CCMA Award, winning in the Innovative Campaign of the Year category for “Carl Dean” – a track deeply special to her as a heartfelt tribute inspired by Dolly Parton’s 60-year marriage to her husband. Benedict carried that momentum onto the national broadcast, presenting an award and being part of the Dolly Parton tribute performance. 

The new songs build on a standout year for the Alberta-born artist. Across 12 unguarded tracks, the Nashville native captures an eye-opening chapter of her life, pairing her signature lyrical imagery with a plainspoken look at love, life and the everyday truths most people won’t say out loud. Produced by Will Bundy with co-production on select tracks from Joey Moi, If I’m Being Honest leans further into the honesty that has long defined Watkins’ songwriting.

“If I’m being honest — no pun intended — this is the most ‘me’ I’ve ever felt making a record,” shares Watkins. “While much of the album comes from my own story, it was also inspired by the life unfolding around me…from conversations with friends over margaritas to everything I observed from the van window on the way to a show. At this age, some of my friends are going on first dates while others are getting divorced. Some are getting promotions and others are having babies. I wanted to capture all of it and make a record where, wherever you are in life, there’s a song for you.”

Watkins approaches the album from the perspective of two dreams unfolding at once: the music career she once imagined and a life at home with her husband, a thriving garden and a sense of small-town peace. She co-wrote all 12 tracks, including the solo-written “Daydreams.” Across the tracklist, she finds something worth saying about the ordinary moments most people overlook.

The album kicks off with “Pulling Weeds,” as Watkins clears out old habits, bitterness and regret to make room for something better to grow. “Better Love Next Time” finds her looking on the bright side of a breakup with humor, grit and a classic Nashville turn of phrase, while “Main Street” captures the realities of a small town where everyone knows everyone else’s business — right down to who’s taking the trash out. Watkins closes the album with “Curtains,” imagining the one heartbreak she isn’t sure she could recover from.

If I’m Being Honest follows Watkins’ 2024 debut, The Heartbroken Record, and 2025’s In A Perfect World, carrying forward the bite of her earliest writing with the perspective that comes from a few more years of living it.

RECENTLY NOMINATED FOR BREAKTHROUGH ARTIST OF THE YEAR AT 2026 CCMA AWARDS

NASHVILLE, TENN. – Today, dynamic singer-songwriter Brock Phillips and Western gothic rocker Liam St. John join forces on “If She’s In A Pawnshop.” Resolute in their love for their six-string, the pair fuse talents to deliver an unforgettable country-rocker.

“’If She’s In A Pawnshop’ is a story about my Gibson J-45, the guitar that has taken me from playing local breweries all the way to Nashville, Tennessee,” shares Phillips. “If you see it in a pawnshop, this song is about what happened to me.

“After writing it I was thinking if I was going to do a feature on this song the only option was Liam St. John. He also plays and loves a Gibson J-45, and we talk about them all the time. His voice is a perfect fit, and I am so proud to have such a monster talent and great friend on this song with me,” he continues.

“I’m such a fan of Brock’s writing,” says St. John. “I think he’s one of the best. When he sent me ‘Pawnshop,’ I thought it was such a brilliant and clever way to write a song about a guitar. We both own [Gibson] J-45s and it’s true that the only time you’ll see us without them is when we are six feet underground. The demo was so badass, and I was thrilled to hop on the song with one of my best pals in Nashville.”

Written by Phillips and Makayla Lynn Parry, produced by Scott Cooke, the song’s brilliance shines in the clever penmanship and earnest delivery:

Phillips’ most recent release was a collab with global artist Dallas Smith for “Leave Me Like A Backroad,” a country-rock anthem about leaving the bar with a girl who looks like “90’s Shania.” Adding to his growing catalog, Phillips released “Rich Man,” which cleverly describes the weight of heartbreak with monetary value. His debut song, “Something Else,” released last fall was named one of Holler‘s “Best New Country Songs,” which explores a familiar, temporary relationship becoming more permanent.

Earlier this summer, Phillips signed with Big Loud Records and Local Hay Records as well as received his first CCMA nomination for Breakthrough Artist of The Year. Nashville-based singer-songwriter / producer Brock Phillips has been immersed in music all his life.
